Guess Cup · KK Labs

Last updated: October 6, 2026

1. Overview

Guess Cup is a puzzle game for iOS and Android. This policy explains what data is collected when you use it, how it is used, and your rights. It covers both the free and Pro versions of the app.

Guess Cup does not require an account. There is no login and no profile. The only thing you can write yourself is an optional duel name, which stays on your device. Your game progress is stored entirely on your device.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information stored on your device

The following is saved locally on your device only and is never sent to our servers:

  • Game progress — levels completed, best times, rooms unlocked
  • Pro status — whether you have purchased Guess Cup Pro
  • Tutorial flags — which in-game tutorials you have already seen
  • App preferences — gameplay settings
  • Duel data — your duel name, rank points (RP), tier, wins and losses, how quickly you tend to solve duel puzzles, and the names of recent opponents (so the same one doesn't come round again too soon)

This data is kept in standard platform storage (SharedPreferences on Android, NSUserDefaults on iOS) and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

Your duel name. You can type a duel name, or choose to use your Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android) name instead — in which case the app reads that name from the service on your device. Either way the name is stored only on your device; it is never sent to us or to any third-party service, and it is not included in analytics.

2.2 Information read on your device, never sent

To pick duel opponents from your part of the world, the app looks at your device's time zone, language and region setting and, on Android, the country of your SIM card. This is worked out on the device and is never stored or sent anywhere.

Duels need an internet connection, so the app checks whether your device is online before and during a duel. Only the yes/no answer is used; nothing is sent.

2.3 Information collected by third-party services

Guess Cup uses the following services, which may collect data independently:

Google AdMob (free version only)

AdMob shows ads in the free version of the app. Ads are not shown to Pro users. AdMob may collect:

  • Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) — for ad personalisation and measurement
  • IP address — to determine approximate location for ad targeting
  • Device information — device model, OS version, screen size
  • App usage data — which screens were viewed, how long the app was used
  • Interaction data — whether you tapped an ad

On iOS, AdMob only collects the IDFA if you allow it through the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can deny tracking and still use the app; you will see non-personalised ads instead.

Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses data in apps

Google Analytics for Firebase

Firebase Analytics is used to understand how the game is played — chiefly whether new players can work out how to play it. Nothing here is tied to an identity: the app has no accounts, and no name, email address or contact detail is ever collected or sent. Firebase Analytics collects:

  • In-app events — which screens you open, when a puzzle starts, is solved, is abandoned or runs out of attempts, how long a board sits before you first touch it, and taps that produced no result
  • Duel events — the pace you chose, the score and result of each duel, the rank points won or lost and your tier, and whether you typed a duel name or used your Game Center / Play Games name (never the name itself)
  • Aggregate gameplay counters — how many puzzles you have solved, your best Endless run, whether you are a Pro user
  • Device and app information — device model, OS version, app version, phone or tablet, screen orientation, and the country your IP address resolves to
  • An app instance identifier — a random ID generated per install, used to count sessions and returning players. It is not your advertising identifier and cannot be traced back to you

We use this only to find where players get stuck or give up, so the game can be made easier to learn. It is never used to identify you, and we do not sell it.

Google Privacy Policy · How Firebase uses data

RevenueCat (in-app purchases)

RevenueCat processes and verifies the one-time Pro purchase. It may collect:

  • Purchase receipt data — to verify your purchase with Apple / Google
  • Anonymous app user ID — a random identifier generated per install, not linked to any personal identity
  • Device and OS information — for purchase debugging and support

RevenueCat does not collect your name, email address or payment card details. Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Game Center (iOS) / Google Play Games (Android)

If you are signed in to Game Center or Google Play Games, your Endless scores and puzzles-solved count are submitted to the game's leaderboards, where they appear next to your gamer name. This is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies; you can sign out of either service at any time and keep playing with your records kept on your device only.

If you choose to use your Game Center or Play Games name as your duel name, see section 2.1 — it is read on your device and never sent to us.

Apple App Store / Google Play

When you make a purchase, Apple or Google process your payment. We receive only a confirmation of the transaction — no payment details are shared with us.

3. How We Use Information

We do not collect personal data directly. The third-party services above use data as described in their own privacy policies. For the app itself:

  • With RevenueCat — to process and validate purchases
  • With Apple / Google — for payment processing, and for leaderboards if you are signed in to Game Center or Google Play Games
  • If required by law — in response to a valid legal request

5. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS 14.5 and later, we show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before AdMob collects your advertising identifier.

  • If you allow tracking: you may see personalised ads
  • If you deny tracking: you will see non-personalised ads; no IDFA is collected

You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Guess Cup.

6. Children's Privacy

Guess Cup is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact us at kklabs66@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Data Retention

  • On-device data (including your duel name and ladder) is kept until you uninstall the app or clear its data
  • RevenueCat purchase records are kept as long as needed to validate your Pro entitlement and meet legal obligations
  • AdMob data is kept per Google's data retention policies

9. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect data stored on your device. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
